Q: What is the minimum length of stay at the Sanctuary?
A: 3 months

Q: What is the average length of stay?
A: Most clients who do well at the Sanctuary stay with us from three to six months or longer.

Q: What is the average age of your residents?
A: The average Sanctuary resident is 29 years old. We accept clients 18 years and older. It is not uncommon for us to have clients who are well into their retirement.

Q: Can I work full-time and live at the Sanctuary?
Clients can work full-time provided they can meet expectations of group attendance.

Q: Do you provide job placement assistance?
A: Yes. We have each of our clients meet with a life coach twice at the beginning of their stay. During this time the coach gives residents direction on devising a resume and helps them formulate a plan for finding work.

Q: Do you have counselors on staff?
A: No. But, we do have counselors who work with us as consultants.

Q: Do I have to come directly from treatment?
A: We prefer to have clients come to us door-to-door from a treatment facility. However, we understand that this is not always practical.

Q: What happens when someone relapses?
A: Our first priority is to get that person any required medical care. If hospitalization is not necessary we try to place the client in a detoxification facility or someplace safe where they will not endanger themselves or others and they will not burden the local community.

Q: What about transportation?
A: Palm Tran, Palm Beach County’s public bus system runs throughout the county and there are several stops close to the Sanctuary residences and in the area of downtown Delray Beach. At the Sanctuary we have several bicycles for resident use. Often clients help each other with rides to work, therapy, etc. Staff at the Sanctuary will assist with transportation for residents as needed.

Q: Can I have a car?
A: Many Sanctuary residents have use of an automobile while staying here. We handle this on a case-by-case basis.

Q: How many Twelve Step meetings are clients required to attend?
A: Sanctuary residents are expected to attend Twelve Step meetings daily.

Q: How do you Handle Hurricanes?
A: The Sanctuary has plan in place, generators at the houses as well as an evacuation plan should the need arise.  The safety of our residents is of utmost importance to us.
