A New Years Resolution For The Addict/Alcoholic In Recovery

New Year’s Resolutions can be tricky for the alcoholic. Through working a 12 step program we are always striving to work harder on something, be a better person, and live up to our own ridiculous expectations. I was taught to always pick something that is attainable for a resolution. Maybe go to an extra meeting a week, pray and meditate a few more mornings, call a sober support every day. These things will not only help you become a better human and get into a routine, but also helps build the spiritual aspect of your 12 program. We are striving for progress not perfection. Make this New Years one to remember by reaching that goal you set for yourself!
